The town of Vodice lies just 670 km from Budapest on the picturesque Croatian coast. The quickest way to get there by car is to take the M7 motorway from Hungary and after the Letenye border station (from 1 January 2023, after joining the Schengen area, there will be no checks), take the Croatian A4 motorway and then the A1 motorway at Zagreb until you reach Vodice. Vodice is also easily accessible by bus with FLIXBUS direct flights from Budapest Népliget – Vodice to the Croatian coast with comfortable air-conditioned flights without any transfer. The apartment has 2 private parking spaces, so you can park your car safely and free of charge during your holiday. The apartment has everything you need to relax. You can wake up in the morning with a sumptuous sea view, special Nespresso coffee specialities or a selection of fruit teas that we have already prepared for you. The kitchen is equipped with all the comforts of home, with a range of high-end appliances and a selection of condiments to prepare a delicious lunch or a barbecue dinner. A real luxury is that the apartment has 2 separate kitchens. The barbecue terrace is accessed by a private lift from the living room for your exclusive use. You can grill meat or chicken on a real charcoal grill for the family, in the beautiful sunset with a glass of wine. In the air-conditioned living room, you’ll always find something to snack on, a bottle of wine for an evening movie, or access it via Netflix or any other streaming service with our smart TVs and 5G broadband internet. Read a good book in the sunset? We’ve got that too. The spa provides all the amenities for an evening of relaxation or recharging. By that we mean soft, clean towels or if you’re going out for dinner, a hairdryer or straightener is essential for getting your hair done, we provide that too. If you want to wash your beach towels after a day at the beach, you can do that too with the washer-dryer that you’ll also find in the spa.

Vodice’s city beach starts from the harbour, just a 10-minute walk from the apartment. Its design is perfect for everyone, the slowly deepening part is perfect for families with small children, but if you feel like swimming, the part separated by a concrete pier is perfect for swimming. The water is crystal clear, as usual in the Adriatic, and the sea life is visible to the naked eye. The beaches are pebbly, so beach shoes are recommended. On the beach you can find almost everything, there are umbrellas and sunbeds for hire, or if you don’t want to spend too much time in the sun, the giant pine trees provide shade.The beach has a variety of restaurants, bars, fast food, pizzerias, ice cream parlours and other entertainment facilities (e.g. tranbulin, go-kart track). If you’ve left anything at home, you can find it in the beach shops, where you can buy everything from swimwear to mattresses. Vodice also has plenty to offer the sporty visitor. Children and adults alike will enjoy the water bouncy castles with giant slides, water bikes and jetskis for hire, and the braver can try parasailing, speedboat bananas and donuts. There is even the possibility of light snorkelling. If you have a sea boat licence, you can hire a boat of the right class to explore the small islands and bays in the area. If you don’t have a licence, don’t worry, you can hire a boat for less than 10hp and you don’t need a licence. There are many cycle routes for cycling enthusiasts, either along the coast or in the nearby mountains. There are bike bars for hire in the town at very reasonable prices. In addition, the promenade running along the coast is perfect for an evening jog, cycling or even scootering.

We have also thought about families with children. From children’s games, to sandpit equipment, with a few companions for the adults, to make the family recreation perfect. There is also a storage room on the ground floor, which we provide for you during your holiday, so you don’t have to bother with mattresses, beach equipment or even the pushchair after your beach holiday, you can conveniently unload everything here!

If you like a lively city life in the evening, Vodice is your choice. The promenade along the seafront runs the length of the town. Part of Vodice’s old town was unfortunately destroyed in World War II, but a church from the Venetian Republic and a few alley-lined, limestone-paved pedestrian streets survive. The long, flowery Mediterranean coastal promenade is closed to motor traffic during the summer season and becomes a pedestrian street. This is where most of the restaurants and bars are located, as well as the town’s main square. There is something for everyone. From the city centre, there are a number of excursion boats to the surrounding islands, but if you want to watch the evening sunset from a boat, you won’t be disappointed. The recently refurbished vegetable and fish market offers fresh fruit and vegetables, produced by local residents, and catches from local fishermen until late in the evening. The fish stall is open early in the morning for seafood lovers, with fish, crabs and octopus caught by anglers sold from fresh ice counters. July and August are the most intense months in the city. There are music festivals, fishing and folklore evenings, jazz and blues festivals in the Main Square, olive oil evenings and the famous Vodice Festival, which offers a wide range of local culture. Local craftsmen also showcase their talents. For the little ones, there is a mini-train that leaves every hour from the main square, and on the way to the main square there is an aquarium museum which is a great experience for children and adults alike.
